Health Program and Research
Research as part of our key focus areas, FMDI invests in and facilitates translational researches that are of public health importance. Studies including clinical trials with the potential of offering lasting solutions to our various diseases ravaging Nigeria and Africa such as malaria, tuberculosis, and HIV/Aids. In 2017, FMDI in collaboration with the international society for medical laser application (ISLA) research group, Germany pioneered the development of a new treatment for malaria. The treatment offers the possibility of eradicating malaria completely by providing a solution to insecticide (vector) and parasite (pathogen) resistance.
